Images of the scene taken by a Daily Star reporter show ambulances and armed police officers outside the station.
The gates into London Bridge underground station have been shut and travellers have been advised to find alternative routes.
A statement from British Transport Police reads: “Officers have been called to London Bridge station after receiving reports that a person had been struck by a train.
“Paramedics are on site alongside officers and a woman is being treated for injuries. She will be taken to hospital for further assessment.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
Britain’s terror alert was increased to ‘critical’ yesterday evening, meaning a terror attack is expected imminently, in the wake of an explosion on a packed commuter train at Parsons Green tube station which left 30 people injured.
As she made the announcement yesterday, Theresa May said military personnel will replace police officers on guard duties and warned the public would see a greater presence of armed police on the streets.
She also urged the public to go about their “business in a normal way.”
